Miniature Dogs – The best companions for urban living!

So darn cute, miniature dogs are flaunting themselves more and more in urban centers! On a recent trip to Paris, small breeds and miniature pooches where everywhere. You’d see them being toted in handbags, riding on the metro, and even sitting on the lap while a woman gets a haircut.

And seemingly, Parisians have mastered the art of training their tiny pets not to bark. At least that’s how it seemed to me. Not once in 2weeks did I hear a dog bark in the city. I also never saw anyone pick up their little dogs poop, (a job for the sidewalk cleaners, not pet owners).

One of the nicest things about the smallest of dog breeds is that they truly make nice urban companions. In the media, irritating celebrities like Paris Hilton are rarely separated from their tiny mascots. How many photos have we seen of her adorable Chihauhua? And, of course the dog wears only the best: designer dog t-shirts, cool sunglasses, hats and jewelry.
